Elora Clinic was born from years of curiosity, research, and care.
The story began in high school, when our founder,
Elora Ellis, joined the Chemistry Olympiad team
and started independent research that led to award-winning articles
on biodegradable plastics and graphene materials. These early
achievements cemented a deep commitment to science and innovation.
After moving to the United States, Elora continued her path as a
research assistant at Georgia Tech, gaining further
experience in advanced chemistry. In 2021, this foundation in
scientific inquiry evolved into the world of skincare formulations,
giving life to Elora Clinic.
At Elora Clinic, formulations are never rushed, mass-produced,
or trend-driven. Each product is handmade in our private lab,
using only purposeful ingredients—never cluttered with unnecessary fillers.
Our philosophy is simple:
science comes before marketing,
transparency before hype, and
purity before complexity.
The future of Elora Clinic is grounded in one principle:
science outlasts trends. While skincare fads
come and go, scientific discovery remains timeless.
Our mission is to become a powerhouse in innovation—advancing
formulations that not only transform skincare but may one day
contribute to breakthroughs in pharmaceutical and medical science.
I created this oil-based serum for people who use red light as part of their skincare routine
and want a nourishing formula that works well alongside that process.
Many lightweight serums absorb too quickly or don’t provide enough comfort during longer routines.
This formula uses a blend of antioxidant-rich oils and green tea extract to help support
skin balance, hydration, and overall comfort while maintaining a smooth glide on the skin.
It was designed to sit well on the surface without feeling heavy or occlusive.
The goal was to create a supportive, calming serum that fits naturally into red light
skincare routines while also working beautifully as a daily nourishing oil on its own.
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Ingredients are subject to change as we continue perfecting our formulation.
Please refer to your product packaging for the most accurate ingredient list. Packaging, bottle design, and label colors may also vary as we transition between designs.

All About Elora Clinic Red Light Therapy Face Serum
EXPLORE THE FORMULA→
Elora Clinic Red Light Therapy Face Serum is a 30 mL oil-based facial serum designed specifically for facial massage and red light therapy routines. Unlike a traditional water-based treatment serum, this formula uses squalane as its primary base, supported by selected botanical oils, green tea extract, and vitamin E to create a smooth, nourishing oil system with the slip needed for massage-oriented skincare routines.
Its primary functions are Massage Therapy · Red Light Device · Deep Nourishment.
Why Elora Clinic Created This Formula
Red light therapy routines can be performed in different ways. Some people want a lightweight serum that simply remains on the skin during a light session, while others incorporate facial massage, device movement, or a longer skincare ritual.
Elora Clinic developed this formula specifically for the second approach.
Rather than trying to make a water-based serum behave like a facial oil, the formula was intentionally built as an anhydrous oil system. Squalane and selected botanical oils provide the glide and conditioning properties that make the serum particularly suited to massage-based routines.
This also distinguishes it from the Elora Clinic Green Tea Face Serum, which is a water-based formula designed for lightweight hydration and antioxidant support during red light therapy routines where extended massage or oil-based slip is not the primary goal.
How the Formula Is Made
The foundation of Elora Clinic Red Light Therapy Face Serum is squalane, which gives the formula its lightweight, spreadable oil texture.
The squalane base is combined with avocado oil, sweet almond oil, black seed oil, and jojoba oil to build the serum’s emollient and skin-conditioning profile.
A green tea component — Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (and) Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract — introduces green tea extract into the oil-based system, while tocopherol (vitamin E) provides antioxidant support within the formulation.
Because the formula contains no water phase, it does not require the same type of broad-spectrum preservation system used in Elora Clinic’s water-based serums.
The Squalane-Based Oil System
Squalane is the primary ingredient and the structural foundation of the serum. It was selected to provide a smooth, lightweight base that spreads easily across the face without relying on water or a conventional gel system.
Supporting the squalane are several botanical oils.
Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil contributes emollient richness and skin conditioning.
Nigella Sativa Seed Oil, commonly known as black seed oil, adds another botanical component to the oil phase.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil helps complete the serum’s emollient system and contributes to its smooth application characteristics.
Together, these oils create a formula designed to remain workable on the skin long enough for a massage-focused routine.
Green Tea and Vitamin E
The formula also contains Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, or green tea extract, incorporated through an oil-compatible ingredient system with hydrogenated vegetable oil.
Green tea was selected as the featured botanical component of the formula and contributes antioxidant support to the overall skincare profile.
Tocopherol, or vitamin E, is included as an antioxidant component within the oil system.
The result is not simply a collection of facial oils. The formula is intentionally structured around squalane + botanical emollients + green tea + tocopherol for a specific massage and red light therapy use case.
Why This Serum Is Oil-Based
The oil-based format is intentional.
Water-based and oil-based serums serve different purposes during a skincare routine. A lightweight water serum can absorb relatively quickly, which is useful when hydration and minimal residue are the priority. An oil serum provides greater lubrication and remains workable on the skin for longer.
For Elora Clinic Red Light Therapy Face Serum, that additional slip is important because the product is designed to accommodate facial massage and device movement as part of the routine.
Someone who wants lightweight hydration during red light therapy without an oil-based massage step may instead prefer the Elora Clinic Green Tea Face Serum.
Preservative System
Elora Clinic Red Light Therapy Face Serum is an anhydrous formula, meaning it does not contain a water phase.
For that reason, its formulation architecture differs substantially from the water-based Elora Clinic serums that use a conventional preservative system.
Tocopherol is included as an antioxidant, helping support the oil system against oxidation. It is important to distinguish this role from antimicrobial preservation: tocopherol is an antioxidant, not a conventional broad-spectrum cosmetic preservative.
The ingredient list reflects the central philosophy of the product: a focused oil-based serum designed around slip, massage, botanical conditioning, and red light therapy routines.
How to Use Elora Clinic Red Light Therapy Face Serum
Apply a small amount to clean skin and spread evenly across the face. The oil-based texture can be worked across the skin during a facial massage or incorporated into a compatible device-based skincare routine.
Because this is an oil serum, it generally belongs later in a layered skincare routine, after lighter water-based products have been applied and allowed to absorb.
When using any red light or skincare device, always follow the device manufacturer’s instructions regarding whether topical products should be applied before, during, or after treatment.
Who Is This Serum Designed For?
Elora Clinic Red Light Therapy Face Serum is designed for people who want an oil-based facial serum for massage-oriented skincare and red light therapy rituals, rather than a rapidly absorbing water serum.
It may be particularly appropriate when the desired experience includes extended glide, facial massage, emollient nourishment, and a more substantial oil-based finish.
For users primarily seeking lightweight hydration during red light therapy without massage, Elora Clinic’s water-based Green Tea Face Serum represents the alternative formulation approach.
