Elora Clinic was born from years of curiosity, research, and care.
The story began in high school, when our founder,
Elora Ellis, joined the Chemistry Olympiad team
and started independent research that led to award-winning articles
on biodegradable plastics and graphene materials. These early
achievements cemented a deep commitment to science and innovation.
After moving to the United States, Elora continued her path as a
research assistant at Georgia Tech, gaining further
experience in advanced chemistry. In 2021, this foundation in
scientific inquiry evolved into the world of skincare formulations,
giving life to Elora Clinic.
At Elora Clinic, formulations are never rushed, mass-produced,
or trend-driven. Each product is handmade in our private lab,
using only purposeful ingredients—never cluttered with unnecessary fillers.
Our philosophy is simple:
science comes before marketing,
transparency before hype, and
purity before complexity.
The future of Elora Clinic is grounded in one principle:
science outlasts trends. While skincare fads
come and go, scientific discovery remains timeless.
Our mission is to become a powerhouse in innovation—advancing
formulations that not only transform skincare but may one day
contribute to breakthroughs in pharmaceutical and medical science.
I created this serum specifically for people who use stay-on red light therapy masks and prefer a water-based formula rather than oils during treatment.
Matcha (green tea) extract was chosen for its antioxidant properties and its ability to complement skin-focused light therapies.
This formula was designed as a daily-use serum that feels almost invisible on application.
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Ingredients are subject to change as we continue perfecting our formulation.
Please refer to your product packaging for the most accurate ingredient list. Packaging, bottle design, and label colors may also vary as we transition between designs.

Elora Clinic Green Tea Face Serum is a lightweight, water-based facial serum formulated around green tea extract, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and glycerin. The formula was developed for people who want antioxidant support and hydration without the weight or slip of an oil-based serum. It was also designed specifically to fit into red light therapy routines where a leave-on, water-based product is preferred. The finished serum absorbs quickly and leaves very little residue on the skin.
Why Elora Clinic Created This Formula
The Green Tea Face Serum was developed with a specific purpose: to provide a lightweight alternative for people who use stay-on red light therapy masks but do not want to apply an oil during their treatment.
Rather than building a complicated multi-active formula, Elora Clinic kept the formulation focused. Green tea extract provides the botanical and antioxidant component, while sodium hyaluronate, aloe vera, and glycerin form the hydrating foundation.
The result is a serum intended to feel almost invisible after application while still giving the skin a hydrated, comfortable finish.
How the Formula Is Built
This is a water-based serum, rather than an oil serum or emulsion.
The formula begins with water and aloe vera as its primary aqueous base. Glycerin and sodium hyaluronate are incorporated to support hydration, while Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract — green tea extract — is the featured botanical ingredient.
This relatively streamlined architecture is intentional. Instead of combining numerous headline actives in one product, the formula keeps its focus on hydration, antioxidant support, and compatibility with lightweight skincare routines.
Featured Ingredient: Green Tea Extract
The defining botanical in the formula is Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract.
Green tea was selected as the featured ingredient because of its antioxidant properties and its suitability for a formula designed around skin comfort and red light therapy routines.
Importantly, the Green Tea Face Serum is not simply green tea extract in water. The extract sits within a complete cosmetic system containing humectants, hydration support, a stabilizer, and a preservation system.
Hydration System
Hydration is supported primarily by glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, and aloe vera.
Glycerin functions as a humectant within the water phase, while sodium hyaluronate — the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid — contributes additional hydration support. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice complements that system while helping create the lightweight skin feel intended for this formula.
Together, these ingredients allow the serum to provide hydration without turning it into a heavy cream or oil-based treatment.
Active and Functional Ingredients
The formula centers on Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract as its featured botanical ingredient and Sodium Hyaluronate as a key component of its hydration system.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and glycerin further support the serum’s hydrating base.
Tetrasodium EDTA is included as a formula-supporting ingredient rather than as a featured skincare active.
Preservative System
Because Green Tea Face Serum is a water-based cosmetic, the formulation includes a preservation system.
Elora Clinic uses Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, and Sorbic Acid in this formula. These ingredients form part of the product’s preservation strategy and help protect the integrity of the water-based formulation during normal use.
Apply approximately 2–3 drops to clean skin and distribute evenly across the face.
For a red light therapy routine, the serum can be applied as a lightweight leave-on layer during the session. Because the formula is water-based and designed to absorb quickly, it is particularly suited to routines where massage or the prolonged slip of an oil serum is not desired.
Outside of red light therapy, it can also be used as a regular hydrating and antioxidant serum and layered beneath moisturizer.
Who Is It Designed For?
Elora Clinic Green Tea Face Serum is designed for all skin types, including sensitive and reactive skin, and for people looking for a lightweight approach to hydration and antioxidant support.
It is especially relevant for someone looking for a:
water-based green tea serum · lightweight antioxidant serum · hydrating green tea face serum · serum for red light therapy routines · hyaluronic acid and green tea serum
The formula is 30 mL / 1 fl. oz and manufactured in the United States by Elora Clinic. Its formulation philosophy is deliberately focused: green tea antioxidant support, lightweight hydration, and a texture that can disappear comfortably into a skincare or red light therapy routine.
