Elora Clinic was born from years of curiosity, research, and care.
The story began in high school, when our founder,
Elora Ellis, joined the Chemistry Olympiad team
and started independent research that led to award-winning articles
on biodegradable plastics and graphene materials. These early
achievements cemented a deep commitment to science and innovation.
After moving to the United States, Elora continued her path as a
research assistant at Georgia Tech, gaining further
experience in advanced chemistry. In 2021, this foundation in
scientific inquiry evolved into the world of skincare formulations,
giving life to Elora Clinic.
At Elora Clinic, formulations are never rushed, mass-produced,
or trend-driven. Each product is handmade in our private lab,
using only purposeful ingredients—never cluttered with unnecessary fillers.

Aloe vera is one of the most well-known soothing ingredients in skincare, but I wanted
to create a formula that felt more refined and effective than applying aloe alone.
My goal was to enhance aloe’s natural calming properties while improving hydration
and skin comfort.
Through testing, I found that pairing aloe vera with hyaluronic acid created a serum
that feels instantly soothing, helps reduce visible redness, and supports moisture
retention without heaviness or stickiness.
This serum was designed for everyday use—especially for sensitive, reactive, or
easily irritated skin—to provide a calming, lightweight layer that feels comfortable
and reliable in any routine.

Elora Clinic Aloe Vera Face Serum is a 30 mL water-based facial serum designed around redness-calming support and lightweight hydration. Rather than combining aloe with numerous additional actives, this formula was intentionally kept focused. Its purpose is straightforward: support skin comfort, help calm the appearance of redness, and provide breathable daily hydration.
How the Elora Clinic Aloe Vera Serum Is Formulated
The formula begins with a water and aloe vera base, creating the aqueous phase of the serum. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice is incorporated directly into this phase rather than treating aloe simply as a marketing ingredient added to a complex active formula.
From there, glycerin and sodium hyaluronate provide additional humectant support. These ingredients help the formula attract and retain moisture while maintaining the lightweight character expected from a water-based facial serum.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice is the defining botanical ingredient in this serum. It was selected to create a formula centered on skin comfort and hydration, particularly when the skin looks red or feels like it needs a simpler routine.
Hyaluronic Acid
The formula contains Sodium Hyaluronate, the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. It complements aloe vera by providing additional hydration support without turning the serum into a heavy moisturizer.
Glycerin
Glycerin acts as another humectant within the water phase. Its inclusion helps create a more complete hydration system rather than relying on a single moisturizing ingredient.

The formula also contains Tetrasodium EDTA, which is included as a supporting formulation ingredient.
Because Aloe Vera Face Serum contains water, appropriate preservation is an important part of the formulation. Unlike Elora Clinic’s anhydrous oil serums, this product requires a preservative system suitable for its water-based environment.
The preservative system is included to support the microbiological integrity of the water-based formula during its intended shelf life and use.
Preservatives are not the functional focus of the serum, but they are an important part of responsibly formulating a cosmetic product containing water.
