The story began in high school, when our founder,
Elora Ellis, joined the Chemistry Olympiad team
and started independent research that led to award-winning articles
on biodegradable plastics and graphene materials. These early
achievements cemented a deep commitment to science and innovation.
After moving to the United States, Elora continued her path as a
research assistant at Georgia Tech, gaining further
experience in advanced chemistry. In 2021, this foundation in
scientific inquiry evolved into the world of skincare formulations,
giving life to Elora Clinic.
At Elora Clinic, formulations are never rushed, mass-produced,
or trend-driven. Each product is handmade in our private lab,

I created this treatment for skin that needs deeper nourishment and antioxidant
support, especially when lightweight water-based serums are not enough.
Vitamin E has long been valued for its role in protecting skin from oxidative

This formula is intentionally oil-based, using squalane and nutrient-rich oils
to deliver Vitamin E in a form that supports the skin barrier and reduces moisture

The formula is completely oil-based, making it fundamentally different from Elora Clinic’s water-based hydration serums. It is intended particularly for nighttime use or whenever the skin feels dry and would benefit from a more nourishing final layer.
How the Elora Clinic Vitamin E Serum Is Formulated
The formula begins with squalane as its primary base. Squalane was selected because it provides the slip and conditioning expected from a facial oil while helping the finished serum remain lighter and more breathable than a formula composed entirely of heavier botanical oils.
The squalane base is combined with avocado oil, black seed oil, and sweet almond oil. Each contributes to the overall emollient profile of the serum, creating a blend designed to soften and condition the skin while supporting the richer character expected from a Vitamin E treatment.
Because this is an anhydrous, or water-free, formula, there is no water phase to emulsify with the oils. This allows the formula to remain intentionally straightforward.
